To Stay Competitive, Oracle Has To Give Impractical Discounts

Co-CEO of oracle, SafraCatz in his testimony against Google has said how they have to offer discounts of net worth 97% to their customers like amazon and Samsung to sell their JAVA technology. Oracle has gone into courts against Google for not paying remuneration for using its java inn android and hence resulting in losses to oracle. What users are getting for free in android using JAVA is to be paid and licensed from oracle. Amazon Kindle also makes use of JAVA platform, which you can find at www Amazon com support. Google is taking huge chunks of JAVA and giving it away for free under its android free and open source program which has led to suffering and losses of oracle.

Amazon was planning to use android to power kindle paper white instead of JAVA and that is why oracle had to give a discount of 97% to amazon to keep using JAVA. Samsung usually pays $40 million to license JAVA, but now it is getting the same at $1 million from Oracle because it is trying to stay in competition. This is done to sustain the sales and avoid them from getting dwindled. Customers are requested to take Kindle support if they find any issue in their Kindle devices.

Google, whereas says that they used JAVA as a fair policy and those pieces of JAVA in android cannot be copyrighted hence it is not earning from them. Initially during making JAVA, it was planned to use and to write programs around it for using on all major platforms. While it was a pipe dream, it could not be done because developers did not like to use JAVA. Even the Kindle com support website makes use of JAVA platform, so you can imagine how important it is.

That is why JAVA never became a universal language but it had its monopoly in industrial level, mobile software’s as well as smart software of that time. There were set of tools and environment created by them and that is why these were sold to manufacturers on licensing basis to make their own smart devices at that time. Such tools have been used in Amazon Kindle, more about it can be found at Kindle Fire support

Google came into existence, took chunks of JAVA, used it in its android OS and suddenly it became a language of the internet and almost all devices present. Since android is available to everyone for free, it is being used as what JAVA is intended to be? Will Java initiate any assistance to Kindle help and support center or not.

All major brands dropped the idea of using JAVA and started using android in their devices. Kindle was going to be powered by android but JAVA had to be in business so it gave these heavy discounts. Kindle made fire OS out of core android it got for free using Amazon Kindle support. Samsung has made a big empire out of android smartphones by selling them with android. This simply means how android is eating away business of JAVA. Oracle will have to try with all its power for consumers to willingly use JAVA over android.
